Six By Nico Reopens Flagship Fitzrovia Restaurant Following Major Refurbishment
The refurbishment introduces a new walk-in bar, an expanded terrace and a refreshed interior, as the group continues to evolve its London offer
The reopening coincides with the launch of American Murder Mystery, a six-course interactive tasting menu running on select dates until 15 November 2026
Six by Nico has reopened its flagship London restaurant in Fitzrovia following a major refurbishment, introducing a redesigned interior, a new walk-in bar and an expanded terrace as the group continues to develop its restaurant experience.
Located on Charlotte Street, the Fitzrovia restaurant was the brand’s original London site when it opened in 2020. The refurbishment marks a new chapter for the venue, replacing its previous industrial aesthetic with a warmer, more inviting design incorporating neutral tones, deep reds, darker accents, new furniture, upholstery, artwork and lighting.
The open kitchen remains central to the restaurant’s layout, retaining the theatre of the six-course tasting experience, while the new bar and expanded outdoor space offer additional ways for guests to use the venue.
Opening directly onto the terrace and overlooking Charlotte Street, the walk-in bar is designed to welcome guests without a dinner reservation, creating opportunities for drinks and cocktails independently of the restaurant’s tasting menu. The changes also strengthen the venue’s connection with the surrounding Fitzrovia neighbourhood.
The reopening comes as Six by Nico continues to develop its wider restaurant portfolio. Having grown from five restaurants in 2020 to 15 in 2026, the group now operates two London locations, including its Canary Wharf restaurant.
Nico Simeone, Founder of Six by Nico, said: “We can’t wait to welcome visitors back to Six by Nico Fitzrovia, our flagship London restaurant. The refurbishment brings some of that newer, warmer feel to the original London site, while keeping the open kitchen, changing menus and theatrical side of Six by Nico at its centre.
“The introduction of the walk-in bar creates a completely new way to experience Six by Nico in London. Guests no longer necessarily need to be joining us for the full six-course experience to visit. The bar can be used for a drink before dinner, cocktails with friends or as a stop during a night out in Fitzrovia, with no reservation required.”
Experiential dining remains central to the offer
To mark the reopening, the restaurant’s first six-week menu is American Murder Mystery, an interactive dining experience running on select dates from 5 October to 15 November 2026.
The six-course tasting menu takes inspiration from American comfort food and invites diners to investigate the fictional case of Maggie Sawyer, following clues and decoding messages throughout the meal.
Dishes include Crispy Fried Chicken & Waffle, featuring buckwheat waffle, smoked bacon caramel and roast chicken crème; Cuban Sandwich with chorizo, smoked ham hough, mojo rojo and mustard caviar; and New England Clam Chowder with roasted ling, crab bisque, barbecue corn, rouille and potato terrine. Dessert is Maple Apple Cobbler with baked apple delice, oat and rye whiskey ice cream, maple and candied pecans. Vegetarian alternatives are available.
The experience builds on Six by Nico’s established programme of themed tasting menus, following previous concepts including Murder on the Midnight Express and Sherlock Holmes.
The Fitzrovia refurbishment combines an updated restaurant environment with greater flexibility for guests, bringing together the group’s rotating tasting-menu format, interactive dining concepts and a more accessible bar offer.
Bookings for Six by Nico Fitzrovia are now open.
