Coombe Abbey Hotel
Medieval mayhem will return to a premiere Midlands venue as it prepares to start hosting its popular events once again.
With the country making steps back to normality, Coombe Abbey Hotel is gearing up to make a spectacular comeback after months of being closed.
Under Government guidelines, the venue, which is nestled on the border of Coventry and Warwickshire, is currently offering guests alfresco dining on the West Terrace, but will be officially opening its doors to all from May 17. As everyone moves closer to everything opening up from the end of June, Coombe Abbey is preparing to host some of the events it is renowned for. They will be back with a bang with the Medieval Banquets first on the menu from June 26 and they will then be held regularly in the following months.
Lordes and Ladyes will enjoy a hearty feast fit for a king and queen that will include a delicious four-course meal, an arrival drink of mead cocktail, beakers of wine and ale with your meal, a full stage show and a post-banquet disco. But that is not all that will be back in the second half of the year as Gavin & Stacy – The Dining Experience, Speakeasy Blinders and Murder Mystery Evenings are set to return. Queen and George Michael Tribute nights will be taking place and Coombe Abbey will also be welcoming back clairvoyant medium, Steve Holbrook.
Steve is regarded by many as one of the UK’s top clairvoyant mediums and will be bringing his special evening – Between Two Worlds – to the venue on October 24. Then the ever-popular D-Day Darlings will be hosting Afternoon Tea With The D-Day Darlings on November 14. Coombe will also be bringing back the outdoor cinema for 2021 with classic films such as Pretty Woman, The Jungle Book and Mamma Mia being screened in July.
Tickets have already sold out for Mamma Mia and are selling fast for the other films, so people are urged to book soon. Bookings for all events are being taken now and will go ahead under any Government advice that is offered at the time.
Ron Terry, Operations Director of Coombe Abbey Park Ltd, said the team is looking forward to seeing all the events return to the venue.
“It is extremely exciting to think that, all being well, we will be hosting events and bringing Coombe Abbey back to life with the sound of excellent entertainment,” he said.
“The hotel has been closed for months because of Covid-19 restrictions, so we are very much looking forward to seeing visitors once again.
“There is some absolutely fantastic entertainment to suit all tastes and it will be a great opportunity to get together with friends and have some fun again.”
