NEW YORK DINING SCENE ON TOP OF THE WORLD

NEW YORK DINING SCENE ON TOP OF THE WORLD AS BIG APPLE TOPS GLOBAL LIST OF WORLD’S BEST RESTAURANTS LONDON – New York has been crowned the world’s best dining destination for the first time, according to the fourth annual poll of readers by private jet lifestyle publication Elite Traveler. A total of nine New York restaurants feature in the Elite Traveler Top 100 Restaurants in the World this year, the most of any city – up from six restaurants in 2014. In first place overall was Chicago’s Alinea , a progressive, molecular gastronomy-led restaurant which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year. On receiving the award, Head Chef Grant Achatz said: “I think a lot of the other ratings systems and guidebooks are taking note. Because, quite honestly, a lot of chefs tend to complain about the unfairness of certain systems and I think it’s really refreshing to have an evaluation based on people’s experience when you don’t even know that they’re in the restaurant.” The Top 10 Restaurants on the Elite 100 2015: 1.
