Rhubarb Hospitality Collection announces new opening- Larch

Rhubarb Hospitality Collection, the premium international hospitality group, has announced the opening of Larch, its new Italian restaurant and café concept located in the heart of the city, at 1 Sky Garden Walk.

Located opposite, and part of Sky Garden, Larch opened this week and joins Rhubarb’s portfolio of bars and two restaurants within London’s highest public garden.

On the ground floor, Larch houses an informal café serving coffees, freshly prepared sandwiches and pastries alongside a boutique store retailing a carefully curated range of gardening paraphernalia and books, souvenirs, gifts and illustrations.

Upstairs, the 50-cover restaurant and bar will showcase an Italian inspired menu with a selection of antipasti, pasta, pizza and large main plates, alongside a dedicated ‘burrata bar’. There will also be an extensive wine and cocktail list, with beers and top shelf spirits available. Outside there’s an additional 50 covers on the spacious terrace.

The interior, by award-winning Design LSM, is inspired by the evolution of re-wilding, delivering a striking contrast between the natural world and the concrete city. Eye-catching features include a carefully crafted bespoke oak honeycomb tile bar front that mimics the layers of a beehive. Natural plaster finished walls are brought to life with real pressed flowers, and painted murals from University of the Arts London students continue to tell an abstract story of juxtaposing landscapes. Sustainability is integral to the design and Larch features plentiful foliage and reclaimed furniture from the marble table tops to the flooring.

PB Jacobse, CEO of Rhubarb Hospitality Collection comments:

“I am confident Larch is going to be a really welcome addition to the city and will appeal to Londoners as well as Sky Garden visitors thanks to its accessible menu, beautiful interiors and expansive al fresco terrace. We very much see this new restaurant as part of the Sky Garden family, and we’re looking forward to seeing Larch carve out its own reputation.”
