Th@51 launches at Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites and Residences

Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites and Residences, starts the year with the launch of the all new resto bar TH@51 in the heart of London. Welcoming a community of food lovers to pique their palate with creative spin on global food and a unique cocktail menu, TH@51 will reflects London’s myriad culinary influences.

Bringing the outside in, TH@51 designed by Conran & Partners, carries a light airy feel throughout with a stunning glass dining room, elegant wood cladding and a soft colour palette. An open kitchen with a theatrical grill and chef’s table takes centre stage, while the striking bar area features intimate booth seating.

Focusing on global food with a creative spin, the menu draws inspiration from flavours around the world, exploring the unexplored to create a food and drink experience that excites all the senses. Pairing popular flavours from varied cuisines together to create dishes that are recognisable in their differences, the menu is truly unique. TH@51’s food reflects London’s myriad culinary influences, celebrating the finest ingredients and traditions from far flung destinations and those closer to home.

Signature dishes include:

  • Burrata & Kale Chaat (V) – Fried kale, Italian burrata, mint & tamarind chutney, onion tomato salsa, crispy sev – £11
  • Bao Bun – Tofu, orange marmalade, sriracha soy glaze, pickled cucumber – £10
  • Moroccan Poke (V) – Saffron pearl couscous, ras-el hanout, avocado, chickpea compote, sumac, pomegranate, dill tzatziki – £18
  • Korean Roast – Baby Chicken, Korean smoked peppers, sticky honey sesame potatoes, buttered kale – £20
  • Desi Scotch Egg – Crispy Mumbai spiced lamb mince, egg, curried mayo & mango chutney – £12
  • Paneer Wellington (V) – Baked puff pastry, spiced tikka masala, garlic, baby spinach, mascarpone makhana – £19

The bar at TH@51 continues the global theme, celebrating our planet’s unique and often fragile ecosystems. Designed by Bar Manager, Riccardo Lupacchini (The Rosewood Hotel, The Clipper) the experiential cocktail menu has been split into different sections, each representing one of the earth’s unique biomes.

Examples of the cocktail menu include:

  • Breath of Fresh Air – Ginepraio, pine cordial, swiss herbs, gentian & juniper, elderflower cider – £15.50
  • Genghis’ Yurt – Hennessey VS, leather, stout, beer, chocolate, kefir and yolk – £15.50
  • Shay Al-Walah – Zacapa 23, mint tea, karkadè, Moroccan lemon, vegetal milk and date honey – £17
  • Glowing Jelly – Ketel One, sea fennel, orange liqueur, glowing powder – £15

By using ingredients and flavours found in each delicate ecosystem, as well as utilising textures and smells and sustainable techniques, the innovative drinks list also perfectly complement the explorative bar food offering.
