Cap Maison Welcomes Carl Beviere as General Manager

Cap Maison Resort & Spa in Saint Lucia, is delighted to announce the appointment of Carl Beviere as its new General Manager, following the recent announcement of Ross Stevenson’s departure from the role.

Carl brings more than 30 years of luxury hospitality experience across the Caribbean and is widely known and respected throughout the industry. Most recently, he led the opening of Royalton Vessence Barbados as General Manager, following a distinguished career with Sandals Resorts, where he held a number of senior leadership positions, including Regional Managing Director.

British and Saint Lucian, Carl is delighted to be returning to Saint Lucia and joining the Cap Maison family. A visible, hands-on and people-focused leader, he is passionate about developing great teams, creating memorable guest experiences and preserving the individual character and sense of place that make a hotel truly special.

Carl has a longstanding connection with the Gobat family, having worked with them at the beginning of his career. His return to Saint Lucia therefore represents both a homecoming and a new chapter in a career dedicated to Caribbean hospitality.

A former chef, Carl brings a particular passion for food and beverage to his new role and is looking forward to building on Cap Maison’s strong reputation for exceptional cuisine while continuing to develop its culinary offering.

“Returning to Saint Lucia and joining Cap Maison is incredibly special for me,” said Carl. “I have known the Gobat family since the very beginning of my career, so there is a wonderful sense of coming home. Cap Maison has such a distinctive personality and a very special place in Saint Lucia’s hospitality landscape. I’m looking forward to working alongside the team, getting to know our guests and building on everything that makes this resort so unique, particularly its people, its sense of place and its outstanding culinary offering.”

“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Carl back to Saint Lucia and to Cap Maison,” said Rufus Gobat Director at Cap Maison Resort & Spa “He brings an extraordinary depth of Caribbean hospitality experience. His connection with the Gobat family makes his arrival at Cap Maison particularly special, and we are excited about the future.”

Carl succeeds Ross Stevenson, who recently announced his departure as General Manager of Cap Maison. During his time at the resort, Ross made an exceptional contribution to the Cap Maison team and its continued development. Ross was also instrumental in the resort gaining Relais & Châteaux membership, the first establishment on the island to join the coveted association and one of only a handful in the Caribbean.

“We would like to thank Ross sincerely for his commitment, leadership and contribution to Cap Maison,” said Rufus. “We wish him every success in his next chapter and are grateful for all that he has brought to the resort.”

With Carl now at the helm, Cap Maison looks forward to building on its distinctive character and reputation while embracing new opportunities for the resort, its guests and its team.
