With romance budding as Valentine’s Day approaches, Shangri-La The Shard, London is offering new ways to treat a loved one this spring. Guests can sit back and toast to love from their bathtub with Champagne flute in hand, while watching the capital’s skyline below transforming from daytime to sunset, and into a night sky dusted with dazzling city lights.

Home to Western Europe’s highest infinity Sky Pool, couples can spend quality time unwinding on the hotel’s level 52 wellness floor and its sauna, gym and pool, all boasting stunning views over landmarks like St. Paul’s Cathedral, the River Thames and the Houses of Parliament.

Celebrate a Spring of Love blossoming with Afternoon Tea at TĪNG

A love-inspired Skyline Afternoon Tea will be served at the wisteria clad TĪNG Lounge, featuring a showstopping miniature white chocolate and passion fruit Shard building for two to share. Perfect when paired with fragrant rosebud tea, a selection of finger sandwiches will be served including coronation chicken, smoked salmon and cucumber, classic Reuben and truffle egg and cress. Savouries such as beetroot heart with hibiscus powder, and prawn cocktail with Marie Rose will follow. Freshly baked sweet and savoury scones accompanied by strawberry jam and clotted cream will lead into a selection of specially-curated desserts including elderflower sponge with strawberry cream and jelly, pistachio profiterole and a heart-shaped pastry filled with white chocolate mousse. Indulge in a romantic date night at TĪNG Restaurant and Lounge

TĪNG Restaurant located on Level 35 of the hotel is offering a luxurious five-course Valentine’s Day menu featuring a potato and caviar amuse bouche, Jerusalem artichoke with white soy cured truffle ponzu, and Carlingford oysters. Miso scallop follows, along with a Hereford beef fillet dressed with Szechuan pepper sauce. To finish, guests can indulge in a pomegranate black sesame sponge with granny smith mousse. With the option to pair each course with wines selected by the hotel’s expert sommelier, and a signature Midnight Delight cocktail, there’s no better way to toast to date night.

Take in London’s skyline on the most romantic celebration of the year at GŎNG Bar

Marvel at the magic of London’s lights at the highest hotel bar in Western Europe this Valentine’s Day. Your front row seat to the city skyline comes complete with rose petals, a bottle of Bollinger Special Cuvée, a Love Cocktail, a Japanese sharing platter and a delicious dessert in the most romantic of settings, accompanied by a live DJ set.
