ÁgoraTech is launched, the event set to revolutionise networking in the hotel sector

The hotel sector is facing an unprecedented period of transformation and challenges, driven by new consumer trends, technological demands and sustainability. In response to this, ÁgoraTech has emerged, an ambitious initiative by Ágora Purchasing Centre, Hotusa Group’s dedicated purchasing centre. In its first edition, it aims to establish itself as the key meeting point for the most influential hotel and technology companies in the industry.

The event, to be held at the Eurostars Sitges hotel on 28 and 29 May 2025, will gather the most prominent leaders and experts in the sector, breaking away from the traditional way of doing business and creating a relaxed space where key players can connect, exchange ideas and define the strategies that will shape the sector’s growth in the coming years.

With an innovative format, ÁgoraTech has already secured the attendance of decision-makers from the 60 pioneering hotel chains in the Iberian Peninsula. Across the two days of networking, under a disruptive and highly effective model, hotel chains and technology providers will have a valuable opportunity to connect in one-to-one meetings, participate in team-building activities, attend a talk on digital innovation in the industry, enjoy a performance blending music with local wine culture and take part in a gala dinner.

With a focus on the future, ÁgoraTech aims not only to inspire but also to equip hotel businesses with the tools they need to adapt to an ever-evolving market and stay competitive on a global scale. The event is poised to become a must-attend for those looking to stay at the forefront of the hotel industry and successfully tackle the challenges ahead.

Hotusa Group’s President, Amancio López, highlights the importance of fostering innovative initiatives like ÁgoraTech: “It’s crucial to create spaces that promote synergies within our sector. This event will not only enable meaningful connections but also strengthen collaboration between hotel chains and technology providers, ensuring a more integrated and competitive future for the tourism industry.”

Looking forward, ÁgoraTech plans to broaden its scope with both international editions and versions tailored to independent hotels. These new editions are being developed in
response to growing technological and operational demands, which are strikingly similar for both hotel chains and independently managed hotels, underscoring the importance of such events across various parts of the sector.
