Boutique South Kensington casino opens following multi-million-pound investment

Genting has opened the doors to its new boutique South Kensington venue – Forty Five Kensington – following a multi-million-pound refurbishment. Formerly known as Genting Casino Cromwell Mint, the high-end casino provides customers with a premium hospitality offering, alongside world class gaming.

Located at 45 Cromwell Road in the very heart of South Kensington, the casino first opened for business in the early 1960s as the ’45 Club and lists the world-famous Natural History Museum and the V&A amongst its illustrious neighbours.

The club has received a complete makeover and now boasts a sophisticated décor of black and gold throughout, creating a modern, boutique feel. The stylish environment offers guests a place to meet with friends over a drink at the bar or alternatively, enjoy a fine dining experience in the club’s intimate restaurant.

The restaurant offers an expansive a la carte menu with a truly cosmopolitan feel, including premium steaks from butcher Aubery Allen. In addition, the bar serves a range of premium wines as well as champagnes, gins, whiskies and cocktails.

Forty Five Kensington has also significantly enhanced its gaming offering. The main gaming floor has been fully refurbished, and the newly created Queensberry Room offers guests the opportunity to enjoy a more tailored experience. Additionally, Forty Five offers the latest in electronic gaming in its spacious and welcoming E-Lounge.

Gary Moore, Club Director of Forty Five Kensington said:

“We set out with the vision of creating a boutique club, offering a personalised, intimate and premium experience, and I’m delighted to say we have achieved just that with the new look Forty Five”.

“Our a la carte menu includes a number of real wow moments, and our range of wines and spirits is truly second to none. Whether customers want to enjoy our high-quality gaming, or if they want to simply relax in our newly created bar, Forty Five Kensington has something everyone will enjoy.”
