England’s historic home Dressing Room at Lord’s opens as new event space

Lord’s Cricket Ground is opening the doors of the players’ Home Dressing Room as a brand new event space at the Home of Cricket.

Located within the historic Pavilion, the Dressing Room is a completely unique space to hire for private dining and drinks receptions. Steeped in cricketing history, the walls play host to the Lord’s Honours Boards, featuring the names of England cricketing legends. The Home Dressing Room is now also recognised as the place where the England team celebrated their iconic World Cup win following the ‘greatest cricket match ever played’.

Overlooking the world-famous pitch at Lord’s and opposite the iconic J.P. Morgan Media Centre, this unique space can accommodate intimate dinners or receptions catered for by the award-winning in-house team, headed up by Food and Drink Executive Manager, James de Groot, and Executive Chef, Karl Pearce.

Refurbished earlier this year, the Dressing Rooms have only previously been accessible to the public through the Lord’s tour. Now available to hire as an exclusive event space, The Home Dressing Room can accommodate 12 guests for a private dinner or up to 40 guests for a drinks reception.

James de Groot, Food and Drink Executive Manager at Marylebone Cricket Club, said: “We are really excited to be able to showcase this fantastic space as a new venue for private hire. The way the team here have worked to be able to offer the Dressing Room for events has been exceptional, and we can’t wait to deliver an incredible experience for all our guests, headlined by our award-winning team.

“I think anyone who attends an event here will be truly amazed by the grandeur and history of the setting, as well as the unique opportunity to celebrate in the same space both the England Men’s and Women’s teams celebrated their World Cup wins“
