Ex-Rogan chef and head forager Kevin Tickle to head up the pass

Forest Side at Wildsmith Hotel

Andrew Wildsmith of Wildsmith Hotels is delighted to announce that Forest Side will be launching on February 1st after an extensive 18 month long and four million pound renovation. Forest Side will open as a 20 bedroom, 50 cover restaurant, set in a 19th-century Victorian hotel minutes from Grasmere in the Lake District, Cumbria. Heading up the kitchen will be Kevin Tickle, former chef and head forager at L’Enclume for almost eight years. Kevin’s menu will change daily according to produce available within the abundant 46 acres of forageable grounds and the newly built Victorian kitchen garden with no less than 120 raised bed. Furnishings and artwork will be sourced locally complimenting Forest Side’s landscaped and wooded private gardens. Dinner, bed and breakfast will be priced from £299 and bed and breakfast from £209, based on two people sharing. Forest Side is set to be a welcome addition to the Lake District, and one of the most exciting gastronomic hotel openings of 2016.
