Hotel Crillon le Brave, Provence, Re-Opens Following a Full Redevelopment
Following its annual closure and full redevelopment, the five-star Hotel Crillon le Brave reopened its doors to guests on 1st May 2019. In the spring of 2017, Hotel Crillon le Brave joined the new Maisons Pariente luxury hotel collection after the Pariente family fell in love with the property on their first visit.
Nestled within a quaint Provençal village, Hotel Crillon le Brave is a beautiful hideout for those looking to switch off from the hustle and bustle of city life and reconnect with themselves and loved ones. The hotel lies in an exquisitely authentic natural setting, in the much-coveted golden triangle of Mont Ventoux, Dentelles de Montmirail and the Luberon. For the more energetic visitor, the “Beast of Provence”, Mont Ventoux can be conquered by bike, a challenge not for the faint-hearted.
For the 2019 season, interior designer Charles Zana and Elias Guenoun Architecture have given a new flavour to the hotel’s common areas without compromising on the hotel’s character or identity. The Pariente family’s aim is to go one step further and make this outstanding spot a prime example of French art de vivre for beauty connoisseurs the world over.
Suites & Rooms
In the 18 suites and 15 guest rooms including one detached family house, the red floor tiles characteristic of Provence contrast with a warm yet understated décor. Throughout, a bright and airy ambience encourages rest and luxurious relaxation with a strong focus on linen along with natural halftone shades, cosy throws and soft materials. All suites and rooms have a unique charm and a picture window looking over the scenic Provence countryside.
Spa
Situated in an 18th-century vaulted stone former stables and surrounded by vast bouquets of lavender, guests can take advantage of the holistic treatment techniques of English brand Bamford in one of the three treatment rooms at Spa des Ecuries. The Crillon stone creates an incredibly gentle ambience where individuals can experience personalised programs, such as sports preparation and recovery, slimming and detoxing and Mum-to-Be treatments.
Food & Drink
Crillon le Brave’s gourmet restaurant, La Madeleine, offers refined produce, prepared with a genuine Mediterranean flavour. With Julien Marseault at the helm, guests will experience his elegant, graphic dishes, which display superior technical skill, with his inspiration coming directly from the markets of Vaucluse. His signature dish, “Breton lobster, Comtat Venaissin nectarine, smoked beef and young purslane shoots” is a delight to savour.
For a more relaxed, yet authentic experience, guests can dine from morning to evening in the beating heart of the hotel, La Table Du Ventoux. Local and delicious options can be enjoyed on the sun terrace, at the poolside or even on the bowling green. Each morning, breakfast is served alongside an abundance of sweet and savoury treats and baskets of overflowing with fresh fruit to tantalise the taste buds. Crillon le Brave is delighted to offer guests and locals dining in La Table Du Ventoux live music on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7pm – 9pm on the terrace. Every Sunday, guests and visitors alike are encouraged to indulge in the delicious brunch. Seafood, cheeses and a mouth-watering dessert buffet are all on offer to enjoy whilst overlooking the splendid Mont Ventoux.
Guests can relax with a cocktail in the cosy bar and each meal at Crillon le Brave can be accompanied with a glass of exceptional wine from the region, such as AOP Ventoux, Châteauneuf du Pape, or wines from the Côtes du Rhône appellation such as Beaumes-de-Venise, Gigondas or Vacqueyras. Guests who wish to fully appreciate the region’s remarkable wine heritage can join Crillon le Brave’s Head Sommelier in the wine cellars for private wine-tasting sessions.
Crillon le Brave is the first opening for Maisons Pariente in 2019 offering 200 days of festivities for guests to enjoy. Lou Pinet is the much-anticipated Saint Tropez opening in June 2019 and a third Maisons Pariente hotel is being built from scratch in the heart of the French Alps in Méribel with sights set on Paris, in le Marrais, for a fourth addition to the collection in 2021.
Fashion and property entrepreneur Patrick Pariente and his two daughters, Leslie Kouhana and Kimberley Pariente, are the driving force behind Maisons Pariente, which offers guests exclusive escapes to beautiful properties in stunning French destinations. The family believe that in our fast-paced world, the need to take time is more urgent than ever and they hope the new collection of hotels will offer guests exclusive destinations where they can stop, rest and reconnect. This group of timeless hideaways combine chic design, complete privacy and attentive but discreet service, offering the ultimate French getaway from the sea, country to snow.
