Hotel Indigo Coventry appoints new Hotel Manager

Hotel Indigo Coventry has appointed a new Hotel Manager as of 1 September.

Lewis Lewis takes over from Micheal Lyons who has moved to a Cluster General Manager role within Castlebridge Hospitality. Lewis is an accomplished hospitality professional with over two decades of international experience spanning hotels, restaurants, bars and the travel sector. He is renowned for fusing commercial acumen with operational excellence, and has held leadership roles with IHG, Marriott, Hilton, Radisson Hotel Group, Jumeirah and Macdonald Hotels.

Most recently, Lewis served as Deputy Resort General Manager on a landmark conversion in Spain’s Valencia region, steering the transformation of the former 5* Grand Luxor Resort into a dual‑branded Four Points by Sheraton luxury hotel and villas under the Marriott International brand. He supported the project’s brand rollout, workforce training, and operational readiness across 400+ rooms, luxury villas, and extensive MICE facilities, while crafting revenue strategies and food‑and‑beverage concepts to position the resort for success.

Prior appointments include Deputy General Manager and Interim General Manager at Radisson Blu Cardiff, a 215‑room city‑centre 4* property, where he oversaw sales, revenue management, housekeeping, and food‑and‑beverage operations as well as day‑to‑day hotel management. Earlier roles encompass Rooms Division Director, Group Director of Food & Beverage Operations for Niche Hospitality’s luxury portfolio, and Area Revenue & Yield Manager for Hilton’s Southwest Cluster.

Hotel Indigo Coventry opened in January 2024 after the completion of a multi-million-pound project. The hotel, which has 101 bedrooms, also features ‘Cogs Bar and Kitchen’ which celebrates the growers’ and producers in Warwickshire and the British Isles.
