Maisons Pariente Introduces Hotel Lou Pinet, Saint-Tropez
Maisons Pariente, a new luxury collection of boutique, five-star hotels in France, is delighted to announce the opening of Hotel Lou Pinet in Saint-Tropez. After a soft opening to guests for the first time on 14th June 2019, the much-anticipated new hotel offers guests the chance to rediscover the destination’s original bohemian charm. Five minutes from the Place de Lices and a stone’s throw from the region’s most sought-after beaches, the secluded refuge boasts 34 guest bedrooms and suites, Beefbar Restaurant, spa and swimming pool, all hidden away from the lively surroundings of Saint-Tropez.
As with every property in the Maisons Pariente group, Hotel Lou Pinet has been carefully designed to create a bespoke, distinctive identity. Resembling a private house rather than a hotel, from the moment they arrive guests are encouraged to relax and recharge as they would at home in exceptional settings with superb service.
Rooms & Suites
Guest rooms and suites are bathed in natural light with dual-aspect windows, private gardens and an outdoor lounge. French architect, interior decorator and designer Charles Zana has created an intimate hideaway that echoes the vintage spirit of the 60’s and 70’s. Expect period art showcasing the region’s art and crafts heritage against natural décor including linen, ceramic, rope, terracotta and whitewash. Handpicked and one-off pieces make each room distinct, all linked with a feeling of gentle warmth, sophistication and intimacy. Throughout the rooms, suites and hotel, art is at the forefront, showcasing French artists including abstract works by Renaud Allirand, painter Ludovic Philippon and engraver Isabelle Beraut, as well as influences from further afield provided by artists including Naoki Kawano from Japan and Kat Klerks from the Netherlands.
A Secret Garden
Outside, Mediterranean landscaper Jean Mus has carefully curated the large lush garden, which boasts a lavender field and herb garden, serving as a majestic backdrop to the hotel’s three houses, terrace and emerald green pool, the largest in Saint-Tropez. Impressive fragrant stone pine trees stand tall over guests as they wander over aged flagstones through the enchanting garden with gentle scents of lavender, orange, lemon and jasmine filling the air. In the evening, enjoy a game of petanque and sample a glass of regional pastis before a sunset dip or dinner with friends and family.
Spa & Fitness
A short walk down the garden reveals the spa and gym in a tranquil oasis, designed to resemble a secret cave. The remote location is the ideal place to indulge in a rejuvenating massage from expert therapists, who use luxury organic Tata Harper Skincare products. The American skincare range combines a flawless natural formulation with active ingredients for a range of treatments from deep tissue massages, to body rituals, facials and full spa packages. Enjoy the Lou Pinet Signature Facial, which pairs green bio-technology with facial massage to nourish and lift the skin. With two treatment rooms, including a twin ideal for couples, a steam room and gym with panoramic skylights, a visit to the spa is sure to leave guests feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Guests can also start the day with daily morning yoga classes, set to the soundtrack of cicadas, or for something more intense, book in for a personal training session.
Bars & Restaurant
Elegant and relaxed, Lou Pinet’s restaurant mimics the hotel’s style with large terraces and tables seamlessly blending in with the garden’s greenery, providing pockets for long lazy lunches under the shade of pine trees. Enjoy lunch or dinner at Riccardo Giraudi’s Beefbar venue, offering the finest cuts of Black Angus Prime, Wagyu WX and Kobe beef alongside steamed seabream, mahi mahi ceviche, carpaccio and yellow tail sashimi. With a focus on quality produce and simplicity, Beefbar at Lou Pinet marks Giraudi’s first opening in Saint-Tropez and brings culinary excellence to one of the most beautiful destinations.
Sheltered by a wooden pergola, the outdoor bar offers refuge from the midday sun and is the ideal place to sit back with a glass of rose. After the sun sets, fairy lights and lanterns light up the garden for magical evenings under the stars. Inside, a pastel mural depicting colourful scenes of Saint-Tropez from days gone by provides a charming backdrop for any meal or drink in the bar. French artist Benjamin Navet drew the mural directly onto the wall after spending time with a neighbour of the hotel who shared photographs of Saint-Tropez in the 60’s and 70’s as the ideal inspiration.
Saint-Tropez Secrets
At Hotel Lou Pinet, real keys replace soulless magnetic cards, handed over by the concierge, the ultimate holiday partner who knows all the peninsula’s secrets and shares the best insider discoveries. Whether guests want to visit the region’s renowned vineyards to sample and learn more about rose or browse the markets of Saint-Tropez and Ramatuelle for artisan souvenirs to take home, Hotel Lou Pinet can arrange an experience to suit even the most discerning traveller. Alternatively, those looking to completely unwind can relax at Hotel Lou Pinet, with no pressure to move from the comfort of a poolside sun lounger.
