New owner of The Denham Grove sets his sights on renovation with £3m investment
The Denham Grove in Uxbridge, which was acquired by a new owner earlier this year, is set to undergo an extensive £3m makeover, which will see the whole property transformed.
The 100-bedroom hotel was recently purchased by Neal Khanna, owner of Asian catering business The Clay Oven, for an undisclosed sum in excess of £10m.
He acquired the hotel from Starwood Capital’s Principal Hotel Company and appointed Countrywide Hotels to take over the management of the departure from the brand and now operate the property going forward.
The sale of the hotel in Buckinghamshire, situated in 42 acres and home to 100 bedrooms, 19 function rooms, plus a restaurant and leisure facilities, was completed in June.
Now Khanna has revealed plans to commence a £3m refurbishment and investment programme into improving standards across Denham Grove, with the bedrooms, reception, restaurant and main conference facility all being given a new look.
There will also be the creation of 15 new luxury suites, each with their own lounge and bathroom.
There are also plans to launch an Indian fusion restaurant which will see the owners Clay Oven restaurant business influence dining at the hotel.
Owner, Neal Khanna said: “We have some exciting plans for Denham Grove and I am delighted to have appointed Countrywide Hotels to assist me in reimagining the hotel and its facilities and applying the knowledge needed to take it forward.”
Managing director of Countrywide Hotels, Darren Patt, commented: “We are excited to be working with Neal on this project to reposition Denham Grove as a premier four-star Buckinghamshire hotel. Neal brings a wealth of expertise in quality food service as one of the leading Asian caterers in the UK. Denham Grove will continue to offer the best conference and event facilities; our vision is to help grow the weekend leisure, meeting and special events business.”
