Rockliffe Hall to undergo £750,000 parkland development

Rockliffe Hall near Darlington has announced plans to transform one and a half acres of land, adjacent to the main hotel, into a multi-functional parkland for guests.

The owners of the 61-bedroom property said the main aim of the £750,000 development will be to help keep younger visitors entertained, while also creating a new offering for older guests.

Planning has been approved on the project and work will begin in the next few weeks with the facilities expected to open in the summer.

The announcement is the latest in a string of investments into the five-star resort, including the recent refurbishment of its Orangery restaurant and the addition of a £1m spa garden that was launched at the end of 2015.

More details about the project, architects drawings and models will be revealed in March.
