Sanderson raises a glass to Womankind this International Women’s Day
Sanderson, part of sbe global hospitality lifestyle company, is thrilled to be celebrating some of the best female talent this International Women’s Day on Friday 8 March 2019, with a stellar line up of DJs, cocktails and desserts, all on offer to help raise funds for charity of choice Womankind Worldwide.
Womankind is a UK-based, feminist global women’s rights organisation that works in solidarity with women’s movements around the world to bring about lasting change in women’s lives. To show their support for such an important cause, Sanderson is hosting a female empowerment party, Women with Ambition, in their celebrated Long Bar. An all-female line up will include sets from DJ Harleem, DJ Morwenna and exclusive headliner, BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Jamz Supernova.
For a drink to accompany the tunes, Sanderson’s fabulous female mixologists, Marta and Laura, have created an International Women’s Day special – the Cherry Sour, an enticing mix of Cherry Marnier liqueur, Monin cherry syrup, lemon, egg white, sugar and bitters, priced at £14.
For further indulgence, Sanderson have partnered with Instagrammer and dessert aficionado, Felicity Spector, to create an exclusive Ruby Rose dessert. Available in The Restaurant at Sanderson, the suitably pink Rhubarb tart with rose meringue is served with pistachio and cardamom ice cream. Priced at £8, all proceeds will be donated to Womankind.
