Skye Gyngell, Head Chef of Spring at Somerset House, receives an award in honour of her fundraising for StreetSmart

Last night marked the annual StreetSmart event in celebration of the longest supporting restaurants from the last 25 years. Hosted at Spring at Somerset House, Head Chef Skye Gyngell was awarded a prize in honour of her fundraising for the charity, dedicated to combating homelessness, over the years.
StreetSmart was established in 1998, raising over £10.3 million for homeless and vulnerable people across the UK. The charity signs up restaurants who add an optional, charitable £1 to each table’s bill during November and December which is then passed onto StreetSmart to support reputable charities for the homeless.
Skye has collectively raised around £20,000 for the charity with a £1 on the bill at both Petersham Nurseries and Spring. She also hosted a Christmas lunch for the charities supported by StreetSmart, as well as a fashion sale with all profits going towards the charity.
(Spring Team) We are proud to support the important work StreetSmart does to combat homelessness across the UK, and look forward to continuing this partnership for many years to come.
