The Principality of Monaco Sets the Stage for a Season of World-Class Openings

From haute pâtisserie to contemporary Argentine dining, iconic French fashion to inventive Japanese cuisine, Monaco continues to reaffirm its position as one of the world’s most dynamic gastronomic and lifestyle capitals. This summer, the Principality unveils an impressive line-up of openings that blend creativity, luxury, and international flair — each adding a new chapter to Monaco’s ever-evolving Art de Vivre.

Cédric Grolet Monte-Carlo – A patisserie icon makes his mark

In summer 2025, Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo welcomed Cédric Grolet Monte-Carlo, the much-anticipated arrival from the chef crowned World’s Best Pastry Chef by 50 Best. Open daily from breakfast to afternoon tea, guests can savour his sculpted fruits, poached flowers, seasonal viennoiseries, and refined cakes — to enjoy in the newly transformed patio or take away. Grolet also assumes the role of Executive Pastry Chef across the hotel’s dining venues, raising the Principality’s patisserie scene to dazzling new heights.

Le Café Lacoste – Sporting elegance meets Riviera chic

The timeless spirit of the Crocodile arrives on the Mediterranean with Le Café Lacoste, a striking pop-up at Hôtel Le Méridien Beach Plaza (open until the end of 2026). Conceived in partnership with restaurateur Riccardo Giraudi, the concept merges Lacoste’s sporting heritage with refined Riviera style. Signature dishes include a reimagined C.L.U.B. sandwich with lemon mayo, alongside exquisite desserts such as The Crocodile pistachio creation. Interiors in Lacoste green, terracotta, and off-white make the setting as captivating as the cuisine.

Anahi Monaco – An Argentine soul on the Riviera

Following its legendary Paris tenure, Anahi debuts in Monaco with interiors by architect Cédric Capron — a blend of raw elegance and cosmopolitan warmth. The menu reinvents Argentine favourites, from beef croquetas and empanadas to open-flame Wagyu Tomahawk, paired with cocktails by celebrated mixologist Colin Field. Already a magnet for Monaco’s discerning diners, Anahi captures the vibrancy of Buenos Aires with a Riviera twist.

99 Sushi Bar – Elevated Japanese dining with a view

This season, 99 Sushi Bar & Restaurant Monaco unveils its sleek waterfront terrace in the newly developed Mareterra district — an exclusive setting where contemporary Japanese cuisine meets Riviera glamour. Overlooking the marina, the minimalist space offers the perfect backdrop for sunlit lunches, starlit dinners, and the restaurant’s signature Sunset Hour, reimagining the aperitif with precision-crafted cocktails and exquisite small plates.

With its unparalleled mix of world-class gastronomy, design, and hospitality, Monaco continues to set the benchmark for cosmopolitan living — offering residents and visitors alike an ever-expanding menu of extraordinary experiences.
