Valentine’s Day Menu at City Social

Gaze upon the stunning London skyline and enjoy Jason Atherton’s Michelin-starred City Social for their special Valentine’s Day menu. Created by Chef Paul Walsh to celebrate the evening in style, the Valentine’s menu will offer diners an elegant and romantic experience from start to finish. Greeted with a glass of rose champagne on arrival, the five-course tasting menu will include dishes such as Orkney scallops, celeriac, pickled pear, shimeji mushrooms, and Rabbit and truffle tortellini, horseradish velouté, sorrel while the indulgent Hazelnut Plaisir sucré, chocolate syrup, biscuit, milk ice cream, is the perfect sweet finish. This limited-edition menu is available for £125 per person and the best way to treat someone special.

A Romantic Evening at Baptist Grill

The Baptist Grill at the spectacular L’Oscar hotel in Holborn is celebrating Valentine’s Day this year with a bespoke menu. Priced at £110 per person, the 4 course menu will commence with Lamb croquettes with dates and rose alongside a glass of bubbles from the Champagne trolley. Choices of starter include the famed aphrodisiac of a Dozen Lindisfarne oysters, six natural and six with chorizo, to be shared between two, whilst main courses feature Cornish cod, soft dill crust, warm tartare sauce. Indulgent desserts to finish include the Chocolate Tasting Selection of dark chocolate fondant with pistachio ice cream, white chocolate and raspberry mousse with rose, milk chocolate and passion fruit mille-feuille.

Michelin-starred Valentine’s at Angler

Renowned seafood restaurant Angler is serving a Valentine’s Day Tasting Menu full of seafood treats. Priced at £110 per person, the menu starts with a glass of rosé champagne alongside Aged Beaufort and truffle gougeres, followed by delicious plates including Squid ink cracker, taramasalata, Esplette pepper and Dorset crab, avocado, wasabi, nashi pear. The star dish features Roast Cornish turbot, parsley root, smoked bacon, Scottish langoustines, whilst the final course includes a suitably pink Yorkshire rhubarb, Sable Breton, stem ginger, Greek basil.

Bryn Williams at Somerset House

Few London landmarks could provide as an ideal setting for Valentine’s Day romance, and this year Bryn Williams at Somerset House will be offering a five course menu with glass of bubbles for £79.50 a head. Dishes will highlight premium, seasonal ingredients and feature the likes of Burratina, pickled beetroot and Lamb rump, confit lamb potato, butternut squash. To finish, guests can enjoy a suitably indulgent Chocolate bavarois with roses to share.

Romantic cocktails and Live Jazz at Anthracite martini lounge

Newly launched martini lounge, Anthracite, at the stunning Great Northern Hotel in King’s Cross is celebrating Valentine’s Day with special Valentine’s Day cocktails, a selection of luxurious sweet and savoury canapes and live jazz. The romantic concoctions created by bar manager Balazs Nagy will be complemented by indulgent canape sharing plates which will be priced at £25 for two people and will include Mottra sustainable Oscietra served with blinis and crème fraiche, as well as Duck bon bons with Korean BBQ sauce and delicious salted caramel truffles for dessert. Parisian Romance at Blanchette Brick Lane

Blanchette Brick Lane has built up a reputation for being one of London’s most romantic restaurants. Owned by three Parisian brothers who named the restaurant after their mother, Blanche, the Shabby-chic bistro offers North African–influenced modern French plates alongside dangerously moreish cocktails. The décor is inspired by the Parisian Belle Époque era, and the restaurant decorated throughout with romantic murals and furnished with antiques sourced from Parisian vintage markets. A Valentine’s special of Champagne poached rhubarb with vanilla parfait will be served alongside their house made Vin D’orange.

Valentine’s Day at Frenchie Covent Garden

Celebrate Valentine’s Day Parisian style at Greg Marchand’s elegant and intimate modern French brasserie. Greg’s stunning five-course tasting menu (£90) created for the evening lends itself perfectly to the romance of the day, providing the perfect background for a night a deux. All Star Lanes brings the Candy Kiss cocktail with love this Valentine’s Day, this gorgeous concoction is a combination of Prosecco, Pinkster gin, Lillet Blanc liqueur, lemon juice and sugar syrup, topped with candy floss and raspberry. Available at £8.50 from the 6th to 28th of February. There is nowhere more romantic in Devon than Lympstone Manor, making it the perfect location over the Valentines period. Guests can take advantage of the Riverside Romance offer from £695 for a one-night stay (Sunday – Wednesday) in the boutique hotel of their dreams. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with half a bottle of champagne (upgraded to a full bottle for a two-night stay) and are then invited to choose from any of the menus in the restaurant. There are few better places to celebrate Valentine’s Day than the home of Romantic poetry, the Lake District. Nestled in the heart of Grasmere vale, Forest Side is a fairy-tale gothic mansion that was voted the UK’s most romantic hotel by the Good Hotel Guide 2018. Guests can enjoy Michelin-starred cuisine from Head Chef Kevin Tickle, with the ten course Grand ‘un Menu served with a glass of pink champagne. Tickle’s menu is inspired by the landscape in which it sits, featuring hyper-local produce (most from the hotel’s kitchen garden) and foraged ingredients.
