Where design meets the skies of Milan

Pedrali furnishes Orizzonti, the new panoramic restaurant offering sweeping 360° views of the Milan skyline Orizzonti, the new restaurant fusing contemporary design, breathtaking views and signature cuisine into a multi-sensory experience, opens in Milan. On the thirteenth floor of the Uptown PalaceOrizzonti offers panoramic 360º views over the city — from the Duomo to the Velasca Tower, all the way to the Alps on the horizon. A landscape that serves not merely as a backdrop, but as an integral part of the dining experience and the very inspiration behind the restaurant’s name.

The culinary vision at Orizzonti follows the rhythm of the seasons and draws from Mediterranean tradition, reimagined through contemporary techniques. It strikes a balance between authentic flavours and creative flair, with a strong focus on sustainability and minimizing waste — the result of continuous research by Chef Luca Pedata, supported by his long-time sous-chef Giuseppe Robustella.

Born in 1989, Pedata honed his craft in leading Italian and Spanish restaurants before joining the kitchen of Carlo Cracco, his mentor and lasting source of inspiration. The view that stretches toward the infinite horizon flows effortlessly into the interior design, conceived to visually extend the experience and culminate in a culinary vision without borders. The space is defined by a modern and elegant aesthetic, shaped by fine materials such as marble, wood, and metal, all unified within a warmnatural palette inspired by earthy hues.

Within this setting, Pedrali collections find their ideal place, seamlessly integrating with the space through clean lines and sophisticated finishes that enhance the project’s overall harmony. Facing Torre VelascaEster armchairs contribute to the ambiance with a perfect balance of elegance, ergonomics, and functionality. Designed by Patrick Jouin, Ester is a precious leather monolith shaped by soft lines and harmonious proportions, complemented by refined die-cast aluminium legs. To light the tables the Filicudi rechargeable lamps, designed by Andrea Pedrali, noted for their smart functionality. Made of an extruded aluminium column and a polycarbonate diffuser, Filicudi has compact proportions and minimalistic style. The column is featured by subtle grooves that add depth and visual appeal.

The spacious dining room is enhanced by Stiel armchairs, designed by Sebastian Herkner, a seating collection that embodies elegance and sophistication, comfort and meticulous attention to detail. Characterised by soft, rounded shapes, Stiel features a polyurethane foam on a curved round steel tube frame. In the bar area, a true hub of conviviality, the burgundy barstools from the Ester collection in burgundy make a seamless addition. Also designed by Patrick Jouin, these barstools feature upholstered shells and elastic belts inviting guests to enjoy a sunset aperitif or linger over signature cocktails after dinner.
