Wild Carrot Restaurant & Bar at Four Seasons Launches Seasonal Socials

To celebrate the launch of each new season’s menu, the team at Wild Carrot Restaurant and Bar at Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire is thrilled to invite guests to their quarterly Seasonal Socials, evening dining experiences designed to celebrate local ingredients, get a taste of the restaurant’s upcoming menu, and discover a hand-picked selection of the finest food and drink producers in the county.

Wild Carrot’s Seasonal Socials will be hosted quarterly throughout the year in Fox Hollow, the stylish private dining room adjacent to the restaurant; close to the open kitchen, featuring windows into the main dining room and its very own private terrace. Each event will highlight two key seasonal ingredients grown or produced locally, chosen by Restaurant Chef Adam Fargin, in a four-course menu carefully crafted for guests to experience what’s to come in Wild Carrot that season. At each Seasonal Social, guests will also have the opportunity to discover one of Wild Carrot’s favourite local food and drink producers, as co-hosts for the evening who will introduce and share a taster of their products with all guests.

For the very first Seasonal Social taking place on Thursday, February 8, 2018, Wild Carrot will be teaming up with Winchester Distillery, producers of Hampshire gins, who alongside The Bar’s talented mixologists will create a bespoke welcome cocktail for guests to enjoy on the special evening, before sitting down for dinner.

Wild Carrot’s first Seasonal Social will focus on Wild Carrot’s Winter menu, highlighting local venison and pear as the chosen seasonal ingredients, from goat’s cheese and potato pressing, served with smoked duck breast and caramelised pear to begin, to rich venison loin served with red cabbage and apple puree, potato terrine and spiced game sauce for main course, and caramelised pear tart, served with shortbread, clotted cream and apple brandy ice cream for dessert, the Winter Seasonal Social promises to be a delicious affair.
