Hotelympia returns to ExCeL London with 4 new shows – March 5th-8th, 2018

The UK’s leading hospitality event returns to London in March with the introduction of four new, exciting and contemporary shows, united under one roof, as part of a fresh new identity.

In modernising its approach, a revitalised Hotelympia (March 5-8, ExCeL London) will reaffirm its position as the industry’s must-attend showcase event for every hospitality business.

A new organising team at Fresh Montgomery has reinvigorated the show – establishing four new brands with the remit of bringing both established and brand new visitors into the fold, introducing exhibitors to new and untapped audiences.

Each of the four new shows, The Foodservice Show, incorporating a coffee-focused Café Commerce section and feature; Hospitality Tech Show; The Professional Kitchen Show and Interiors and Tableware Show, will be specialist events in themselves, each benefitting from the ‘Hotelympia-effect’ – a market-leading brand with the heritage to attract over 30,000 visitors, many of whom possess six-figure spending muscle.

Alongside the new brands, the show will benefit from some exciting new future-focused elements, tackling hot button issues and championing future industry stars, which will sit perfectly alongside returning features, to help Hotelympia maintain its position at the head of the pack.

Big issues such as Brexit; recruitment; skills; women; the gender pay gap; productivity; retention, allergens, and apprenticeships, will also be tackled head-on, by a host of top level speakers, helping to lift some of the fog surrounding each and demonstrate that the industry can offer people a viable and successful career.

A number of interactive, experience-based attractions will also be a focus on the show-floor. Hotelympia has partnered with SquareMeal, the market-leading independent restaurant guide, to delve into the minds of modern diners and uncover what constitutes the Ultimate Dining Experience. The findings are set to be unveiled in a unique experiential installation at the show, as well as in a free report available to all show visitors.

The show’s long history of welcoming and nurturing the next generation will also continue in earnest through existing elements like Salon Culinaire, which returns for 2018. Candidates are set to do battle in four competitive elements; live restaurant challenge, La Parade de Chefs, the breath-taking static work of Salon Display, the competitive Live Theatre and student-focused Skills Theatre. With kitchen skills very much under the spotlight, the chefs of tomorrow will be given the podium throughout.
