AEI and Wewise drive green transformation in hospitality with Adare Manor solar project
Alternative Energy Ireland (AEI), part of the Wewise ecosystem, has partnered with the world-renowned first stars hotel Adare Manor in Co. Limerick to deliver a landmark renewable energy project.
Together, they have completed the installation of a 60 kWp solar PV system, expected to save 15 tonnes of CO₂e annually with a six-year payback period and Electric Vehicles Chargers to promote the use of electric vehicles among staff and guests.
Adare Manor, with its 840-acre estate, has a high electricity demand due to its on-site facilities and electric heat pumps used throughout the hotel and golf course. Nonetheless, the hotel takes its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) seriously and continually works to minimize its environmental impact.
This project demonstrates how AEI and Wewise are helping the hospitality industry transition to cleaner energy and embed sustainability into business operations. For Adare Manor, it marks a major step in reducing its environmental impact and strengthening its Corporate Social Responsibility commitments.
Why it matters:
- AEI and Wewise provide a concrete model for how renewable energy can positively transform the hospitality industry.
- This project shows measurable impact: reduced carbon footprint, improved resilience, and faster ROI.
- Demonstrates Wewise’s ability to turn sustainability into a competitive advantage for businesses.
