Gong to unveil New Designs at Decorex
Having just returned from exhibiting at Milan Design Week and Maison & Objet, Gong are now busy preparing to share their latest designs with the UK market at this years’ Decorex. Taking place between 10-13 October at Olympia, Gong are looking forward to welcoming visitors.
After a long time of not being able to showcase their beautiful lighting and furniture designs, Gong are certainly making up for it now and have been delighted to attend this years’ most prestigious Interior Designs Shows across Europe.
Jo Plismy, designer & founder of Gong comments, “It has been absolutely wonderful being able to meet and chat with our customer’s again after so long. Of course modern technology is fantastic but you can’t beat being able to see people face to face and discussing ideas and projects in person. Ours is a creative industry and having customers able to see and touch the products in real life is so important.”
Now gearing up for London’s own International Interior Design Event, Gong will be displaying a wide range of their show-stopping lighting collections at Decorex. These include designs from their beautiful Silk, Glass, Brass & Metal, Rattan & Linen, and ONG Collections.
NEW DESIGNS
Gong will also be showcasing some of their very latest designs including the Kabocha, which is the newest addition to Gong’s stunning Silk Collection.
Jo explains her inspiration behind this elegant design, “Whilst visiting Devon a couple of years ago, I was inspired by a field of beautiful asymmetrical vegetables – the Kabocha. I loved their random shape and new instantly that it would make a really elegant light. I am pleased that the Kabocha also fits in really well with the other designs from the Silk Collection, which were generally inspired by shapes from the sea.”
Also, new for 2021 and on display will be the enchanting Dusia Light, shown above. With it’s interesting lattice-like metal work, it diffuses light softly, making playful patterns in the room. Available in both a wall light and a table light, Jo went back to her love of the ocean to create this latest design using the Favolaschia Fungus as her inspiration.
To see all of these and many more be sure to say hello to Jo and the team on Stand A140 at Decorex. They will be on hand to answer questions, talk about lighting, interior design and offer solutions to a wide range of lighting dilemmas, whatever size the project may be.
