Jobs at risk after devastating fire at Cameron House, Loch Lomond, Scotland
Hundreds of jobs are at risk at Cameron House hotel in Loch Lomond following the fire that that devastated the hotel last month.
Approximately 300 roles are at risk out of a total of 450 jobs, including some 155 staff on zero-hour contracts, who were told no hours were likely to be forthcoming in the short-term.
Staff were informed of the plans at a meeting following which there will be a consultation process.
The remaining 150 employees working on still-open facilities such as the marina, the Boat House bar and restaurant and the lodges and groundskeeping staff will be unaffected.
Two guests died after fire broke out at the 132-bedroom, five-AA-star hotel overlooking Loch Lomond in West Dunbartonshire on Monday 18 December.
The building was extensively damaged just months after the completion of a £4m refurbishment project.
