Lavender Green puts down roots on the King’s Road

Sloane Stanley has today announced the launch of a new store for one of London’s finest florists, Lavender Green Flowers. Previously operating from a Victorian greenhouse on Fulham Road, Lavender Green’s new 1,700 sq ft home at 239 King’s Road marks the latest addition to the premium creative and lifestyle offering across Sloane Stanley’s estate.

Lavender Green’s new upsized store provides a more prominent and spacious environment to accommodate its extensive range of flowers and plants, along with the retailer’s curated collection of unique gifts, homewares, and antiques. The King’s Road location also incorporates coffee facilities, and dedicated space for Lavender Green’s newly developed flower school.

Since first opening five years ago on Fulham Road, Lavender Green’s store presence in Chelsea has played a pivotal role in the business and has allowed the florist and retailer to establish a loyal local following, which will continue to flourish from the new King’s Road corner trading position.

Operating in conjunction with its head office and studio in Windsor, the Lavender Green teamwork with a selection of British flower farms to deliver premium quality flower bouquets, arrangements and installations. Services range from bespoke floral and interior options for the home and private parties, to creations for galleries, museums, and high-profile events such as the Ascot and Epsom Downs races. Lavender Green has also been involved with the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show, which is held just a stone’s throw away from the new King’s Road flagship.

Commenting on the news, Hannah Grievson, Head of Property at Sloane Stanley said: “Lavender Green’s flagship makes a wonderful addition to the King’s Road, which already attracts a vibrant and affluent clientele with a passion for interiors, design and homewares. Sitting comfortably alongside names such as Designers Guild, Mandarin Stone and Little Greene Paint across the estate, the launch of Lavender Green demonstrates our active response to emerging trends, most notably the rise in interior investment and uptake in more local consumption. We are delighted that Lavender Green has chosen to expand their creative offering with us and feel confident the new store will be a success with their loyal customer base and new consumers alike.”

Sue Barnes, Creative Director at Lavender Green added: “We are thrilled to have launched in our new, more expansive home on the King’s Road. This new space allows us to deliver even more of what Lavender Green customers love, including our dedicated flower school, homewares and freshly served organic barista coffee, and we couldn’t think of a better flagship environment for our brand. With the Chelsea Flower Show and a huge floristry scene in this part of London, as well as the loyal following we have developed in this area over the past five years, we knew we wanted to re-commit to Chelsea, and are so pleased, with the support of Sloane Stanley, to have found this position on the King’s Road.”

This news follows Sloane Stanley’s recent launch of wine specialists, 28º–50º Wine Bar & Kitchen at 300 King’s Road, as well as the signing of Nakanojo for its debut restaurant venue at 356-360 King’s Road. These hospitality brands also join the recently signed ‘Love My Human Townhouse’; a new three-floor townhouse concept from luxury pet and grooming brand, Love My Human.
