Ria’s to Open New All-Day Detroit-Style Pizza and Natural Wine Bar in Soho

Opening 1st November 2025 with 50% Off Food From 1st – 3rd November 2025

Ria’s – the Detroit-style pizza and natural wine bar – is set to open a second site this autumn, bringing its signature slices and laid-back energy to one of London’s most iconic neighbourhoods: Soho.

Building on the runaway success of the Notting Hill original, Ria’s Soho is a natural next step for co-founders Ria and David Morgan-Ratcliffe. This new spot builds on everything that made the first site a hit – bold flavours, effortlessly cool interiors, and those signature Detroit-style slices – with a few upgrades: an exclusive Soho slice and an intimate wine cave.

“We’ve taken everything we’ve learned, refined it, and built something that feels like a confident evolution of the brand,” says co-owner Ria Morgan-Ratcliffe. “Expect the same signature style, energy, and experience – just a bit more polish. We’ve grown, learned, and fine-tuned, and this new site reflects that evolution.”

Ria’s Soho

Ria’s Soho is the older sibling: same DNA, a little wiser, still a lot of fun. Open for lunch and dinner, it’s designed for everything from a quick glass and a slice, to a full-on date night deep dive. With a buzzy open kitchen, eclectic seating across two floors, and a bold, lived-in design – it’s a space to settle in and stay a while.

The Pizza

At the heart of the menu is Ria’s signature deep-pan, square-cut Detroit-style pizza – available by the ‘pie’ or by the slice. Favourites from Notting Hill will carry over, joined by a new Soho-only slice.

Expect thick, fluffy crusts and home-baked comfort, all made with the same 72-hour fermented dough, using Shipton Mill and Bruen Farm flour for Ria’s signature crisp-chewy texture.

The Drinks

A curated list of natural wines will be poured by the glass or bottle. Expect chillable reds, juicy oranges, and pink pét-nats from small, independent producers. The drinks offering also includes bottled beer and a small but punchy cocktail list.

The Interiors

The 38-cover site spans two floors, with an open service kitchen on the ground floor and a bit of outdoor seating for good measure. Designed in collaboration with Nothing is Not Nothing, the space evolves the Ria’s homely aesthetic with bold colour hits, and a more refined edge.

Downstairs, the wine cave offers something special: a tucked-away, intimate space nestled among dough mixers and bags of Cotswold flour. Aged oak, a marble sharing table, and wine racks complete a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the heart of Ria’s.

The Story

Ria’s is the vision of husband-and-wife duo David and Ria Morgan-Ratcliffe, who left careers in finance and tech to pursue their shared drive to take on an adventure in hospitality to curate casual dining experiences in homely settings. After two whirlwind years at Notting Hill, Soho marks a confident next chapter.

“Soho – and just off Carnaby Street especially – just felt right,” says Ria. “Plus, it’s number 29… the same as our Notting Hill site, so it felt like fate. This is very much the natural next step for us. We’re excited, eager, and ready for what’s next.”

Reservations are now open – booking is recommended to secure a spot for a slice. Book a table here: https://www.rias.world/
