The Torridon hotel receives prestigious Five AA Red Stars

The Torridon hotel in Wester Ross has been awarded ‘Five Red Stars’ by the AA, the top rating for hotels from the respected hospitality guide.

Selected by the AA as an Inspectors’ Choice in the British Isles, the accolade regards The Torridon as one of the best hotels in Britain & Ireland due to its outstanding levels of service and hospitality. The hotel joins 65 other hotels in the British Isles that have received the rating, including seven newly awarded hotels in 2019.

The announcement follows an exciting development period for The Torridon which has seen the hotel receive a number of awards alongside its continual physical enhancements. Its own handcrafted gin Arcturus received one star at the Great Taste Awards 2019, the only hotel gin to be named in this year’s awards, and the new Gin Garden was opened in August at the hotel, featuring a star-shaped pool, pergola, and 1,500 herbaceous plants. Three newly designed rooms were launched in March, and the hotel’s restaurant, 1887, will be refurbished at the beginning of 2020.

Speaking of the win, Dan Rose-Bristow, co-owner of The Torridon, said: “My wife Rohaise and I have a real sense of pride that bespoke training for staff and efforts to establish The Torridon culture have been recognised by the AA.
