Thornton Hall Hotel Announce Genesis Valenzuela as the Restaurant Manager of The Lawns
With a wealth of experience across several continents, Thornton Hall Hotel welcomes Genesis Valenzuela as the new manager of their award-winning restaurant, The Lawns.
Genesis began his career working for hotels in the Philippines, his birthplace, followed by over nine years on a number of cruise ships in a variety of roles, eventually settling in the UK in 2013. Since then he’s worked for a number of prestigious establishments, most recently as Assistant Manager of the Michelin starred Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor Hotel.

Thornton Hall were recently awarded the prestigious recognition of an AA four Silver Star rating for exceptional standards of hospitality, service and cleanliness. The Lawns restaurant were also recognised as the ‘Best Fine Dining Venue in Merseyside’ at the 2018 Lux Food and Drink awards.
Genesis Valenzuela comments: “The Lawns is a great establishment in a wonderful setting and I’m very happy to be here. Everyone has been very welcoming since I started and it’s a great team to be part of. I’m committed to maintaining the high standards already set and we’ll work hard to improve on them too. My main area of priority is delivering an exceptionally high level of service, paired with great communication and so I will initially be looking on how we can improve these areas. With lots of exciting plans in the pipeline for the restaurant, I’m really looking forward to the year ahead.”
