THYME & BERTIOLI LAUNCH AN IMMERSIVE COLLECTION WITH NEW BEDROOMS AND PRODUCTS, INSPIRED BY THE CUTTING GARDENS AT THYME
The new cutting garden collection brings the glory of an English garden into the home
Bertioli, the sibling brand of Thyme, is delighted to reveal its new Cutting Garden collection. A beautiful, bucolic, celebration of flowers, hand-picked from the cutting garden at Thyme, and painted by its founder Caryn Hibbert.
“To fill the house with freshly cut flowers must be one of life’s greatest joys.”
The Cutting Garden is the first of its kind: immersive and experiential, with new bedrooms at Thyme as well as across Bertioli with homeware, tabletop, interiors, decorative accessories and home scent.
The whole collection is a celebration of the cut flower gardens and aims to bring the outside in, championing the philosophy that flowers make us happy. Rooted in Thyme’s ethos that our wellbeing begins with a connection to nature, the collection consolidates the idea that in nurturing nature we nurture ourselves.
Situated in the Farmhouse, the four newly refurbished bedrooms, now open for booking, have been decorated with measured maximalism to showcase the new wallpapers and fabrics, further enhanced by cushions and lampshades from the collection. Each room is decorated with different patterns – Pink Phlox, Mixed Phlox, Elderflower, and Sidalcea.
The collection is completed with the Cutting Garden scent – a boisterous and floriferous blend that truly evokes the enchanting scent of freshly cut flowers. The scent brings the patterns to life and together, they are the golden thread that transports you to and immerses you in the Cutting Gardens at Thyme, wherever you are.
Thyme has collaborated with longstanding partner, the local furniture makers Lorfords Contemporary, to create bespoke headboards for each bedroom, exclusive to the hotel and available to order. Natural paints by Edward Bulmer Natural Paint have been used, which forms part of an ongoing partnership, and upcoming Cutting Garden pop-up at their Pimlico boutique over the Chelsea Flower Show.
“I have painted a few of my favourite flowers; unashamedly boisterous, happy and wonderfully floriferous. The patterns depict flowers in their natural form, reaching for the sun, as well as in a florist’s bunch and in linear rows, as they grow in our cutting gardens. These patterns of nature, combined with their heady scents, are the very essence of an English garden” says Caryn Hibbert.
The Cutting Garden collection – tablecloths, napkins, aprons, wallpapers, interiors fabrics, cushions, lampshades, candles and home scent – are available to purchase in the boutique at Thyme and online at www.bertioli.co.uk . The collection will also be available on Maison Flaneur.
The collection launched in-store and online on 24th April 2024. The Cutting Garden bedrooms are all in the Elegant category and priced from £610 per room per night, on a bed and breakfast basis.
