Having only opened in March 2015, JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa can now add the accolade of Best Hotel & Tourism Resort to its already long list of awards. The prestigious title was presented by MIPIM 2016 awards which honours outstanding and accomplished real estate projects around the world.

JW Marriott Venice saw off tough competition from the likes of Musholm, Copenhagen and Suiran, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Kyoto for the title in this year’s awards ceremony. The Best Hotel & Tourism Resort award recognizes the most innovative newly-constructed resorts and hotels, with a heavy focus on architecture and interior design. The category also takes into account client wellbeing, guest services, leisure facilities and environmental aspects.

“We are delighted to have been awarded this prestigious accolade from MIPIM,” says Cristiano Cabutti, Director of Sales and Marketing, JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa. “To be recognized once again for our design, guest services and architecture is a wonderful testament to the hard work that went it to the resort’s conception, Matteo Thun & Partner’s superb design and our continuous dedication to providing guests with a truly elegant retreat.”

JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa is beautifully situated on its own private island of Isola delle Rose in the Venetian Lagoon. Reached by a private complimentary shuttle service across the lagoon (just minutes away from its private pier at St Mark’s Square), the island resort offers the ultimate luxury experience for the most discerning of travellers.

Designed by the famous architect Matteo Thun, JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa offers guest an authentic Italian experience with 5 different categories of accommodation, 4 restaurants (one of which is Michelin-star) and the award-winning GOCO Spa Venice. The hotel offers contemporary design and stunning 360 views, with restaurants and rooms looking out over to the rooftops of Venice itself.

JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa has already won two Spafinder awards for its GOCO Spa, featured in Conde Nast Traveller’s 2016 Spa Guide and been awarded a Michelin-star for its Dopolavoro restaurant.
