Cvent names doubletree Hilton Manchester top hotel for meetings and events
The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Manchester Piccadilly, which is managed by Valor Hospitality Europe, has been cited as a top hotel for meetings and events in the UK, by industry-leading event management technology company, Cvent.
It’s the first time that the hotel has made the annual list, which was compiled by analysing MICE (Meetings, incentives, conferencing, exhibitions) booking activity through the Cvent Supplier Network, which sourced more than $16 billion worth and more than 42 million room nights in 2018.
Robert Ford, general manager from the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel Manchester Piccadilly, said: “We are delighted that out of 260,000 hotels across 175 countries on Cvent’s supplier network, we were positioned in the top 50 in the UK. With most of the other hotels on the list being in London, we’re flying the flag for hotels in the north. Cvent evaluated hotel properties that generated business through the Cvent Supplier Network from January 2018 through December 2018. The properties were ranked according to various criteria, including total requests for proposals (RFPs), awarded RFPs, total room nights, awarded room nights, major metropolitan area (MMA) market share, conversion rate, response rate, and the hotel’s unique profile visits in the Cvent Supplier Network. The criteria are designed to provide the most accurate reflection of the top meeting hotels in the U.S., Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Asia Pacific regions.
Valor Hospitality Europe has been operational in the UK for over three years and manages 17 properties in its UK portfolio on behalf of investment vehicles affiliated with MCAP Global Finance Ltd.
